Anne Marie Puglisi, Esq.
Ms. Puglisi is a licensed attorney in Hawaii with over 25 years of experience resolving workplace disputes.
Ms. Puglisi earned her bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech University, magna cum laude, with a double major in History and French and received her juris doctorate from Tulane University School of Law in New Orleans, Louisiana, graduating with honors, with a specialty in international law. She served on the school’s inaugural International Law Journal as associate editor. Ms. Puglisi spent over a decade practicing in the areas of employment and labor law, where she advised employers in employment matters, including age, race, disability and gender discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage and hour issues. She also represented management in unfair labor practices claims, in administrative hearings before the National Labor Relations Board, in collective bargaining, in grievance arbitrations, and in union organizing campaigns. She left the practice of law and has spent the last two decades working for both private and public sector employers building and running their human resources, equal employment opportunity, employee relations, performance management and ADA reasonable accommodation programs.
Ms. Puglisi’s work focuses primarily on resolving workplace disputes through various techniques, including mediations between employees in the workplace or between parties involved in administrative complaints or litigation. As a result of Ms. Puglisi experience in different roles in the employment context, she is ideally positioned to understand the different perspectives that are involved in employment matters and is uniquely qualified to help disputants resolve their disputes.
Ms. Puglisi completed both the Basic and Advanced Mediation Training at the Mediation Center of the Pacific, where she is an active volunteer mediator. She has also completed the Mediating the Litigated Case program at the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine Caruso School of Law. She received her certification as a Workplace Mediator and Trainer in Conflict Resolution from Eckerd College Mediation Training Institute and has been trained in mediating high conflict disputes from the High Conflict Institute.
