    Sherry Broder has served numerous times as a mediator, arbitrator and hearings officer for counties, state and federal courts and government agencies and private parties. She has been appointed an arbitrator and consultant in international ocean law matters. She has litigated cases in many state courts, federal district and appellate courts in other jurisdictions, U.S. Supreme Court, other countries and International Tribunals. She has handled many complex cases, including class actions with as many as 850,000 class members.

    She regularly represents Plaintiffs in tort cases and also represents clients in real estate, land development and business transactions and litigation She represents some of the largest and finest hotels and land owners in Hawai`i. She was the Deputy Chief Attorney at the 1978 Constitutional Convention, served as the attorney/legislative analyst for the Honolulu Charter Commission and Maui Charter Commissions and has worked as an attorney for the Office of Hawaiian Affairs in various capacities for four decades.

    Ms. Broder was the first woman President of the Hawaii State Bar Association and 2016 President of the Federal Bar Association for the District of Hawaii. She was selected Finalist, Trial Lawyer of the Year Award by the Trial Lawyers for Public Justice, 1994, 1995, and 1997, received the 1992 Solo Practitioner of the Year and 2015 Solo and Small Firm Lifetime Achievement Awards from the American Bar Association. Ms. Broder graduated in 1970 from Wellesley College as a Wellesley Scholar and in 1975 from U.C. Berkeley Law School with highest honors, Order of the Coif.
