    Lisa Munger practiced in the fields of environmental law, antitrust law, land use and commercial litigation.  From 1978 to 1984 she practiced with McCutchen Black Verleger and Shea in Los Angeles.  From 1985 to 2021 she practiced with Goodsill Anderson Quinn and Stifel.

    In the field of environmental law, Ms. Munger worked with clients to obtain permits and provide representation in contested cases, to implement compliance programs, and to represent clients in enforcement actions and citizen’s suits.  Her environmental practice areas included air quality, water quality, hazardous waste, hazardous substances, natural resource damages, endangered species and environmental impact statements.  She is the editor of the Hawaii Environmental Law Handbook (published by Government Institutes, 3rd Edition, 2000). This Handbook is designed to provide a guide to Hawaii’s environmental laws that affect the private sector, including businesses and real property owners.

    In the field of litigation, Ms. Munger has experience with criminal, civil, administrative and appellate litigation.  She represented clients in antitrust matters, class actions, land use litigation and product liability cases.  She is the author of the Hawaii Chapter, State Antitrust Practice and Statutes (American Bar Association, 3d Edition, 2004).

    Ms. Munger is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers (former State Chair) and a fellow of the American College of Environmental Lawyers.  She has served on the Hawaii State Bar Association Board, on the Hawaii Supreme Court’s Task Force on Civil Justice Improvements, the Judiciary’s Evidence Committee and as a Ninth Circuit Lawyer Representative.

    Ms. Munger attended the University of California, Los Angeles, and Harvard Law School.  She is a founder and the first Editor in Chief of the Harvard Women’s Law Journal, now the Harvard Journal of Law and Gender.
